About Sunset Point Saputara

Sunset Point in the western part near Saputara Lake is also known as Gandhi Shikhar. This famous point offers breathtaking natural lush green views of sunrise and sunset over the Sahyadri range during your Saputara trek. As evening approaches, the sky is painted orange with the setting sun, creating a spectacular view here.

Also, from this point of view one can get a magnificent view of the forest and various tribal villages of Dang area around Saputara Hill Station.

There are two ways to reach Saputara Sunset Point, one by climbing hills and the other by using ropeway. One has to trek one kilometer from the parking lot to reach Sunset Peak. The climb is about 25 minutes long and is not suitable for the elderly. Instead, travelers can reach Sunset Peak in 10 to 15 minutes using a ropeway from Table Point or Table Land.

This 10 minute long saputara ropeway journey gives visitors a glimpse of Saputara magnificent bird’s eye view, as well as the entire Saputara City from the ropeway.

Saputara Sunset Point also offers some activities for children such as camel riding, horse riding, cycling and mini biking. The Sunset Point area has many eateries, such as popcorn, ice cream and cotton candy with some delicious local dishes that you have never eaten, which you can taste here.
